Belt scales

PURPOSE

Automatic belt scales SWEDA VK are designed for continuous measurement of the mass of bulk and lumpy materials (grain, coal, charge, granules, crushed stone, etc.) transported by belt conveyors during commercial, accounting and technological operations.

 

At the same time, the scales provide:

  • Measurement and indication of the conveyor capacity and the total mass, material passed through it;
  • Duplication of indication and control of scales remotely (distance up to 1200m) from a remote display TV-330-16, located in the control room, the office of the works manager, chief technologist, etc.;
  • Communication with the automated control system of the enterprise and the owner’s office.

 

APPLICATION

Belt scales SWEDA VK are widely used in the mining and metallurgical industries, the manufacture of chemical fertilizers, building materials, agricultural complex, in ports and terminals.

 

When using them, it should be taken into account that belt scales belong to the type of scales, the accuracy and reliability of operation of which is inextricably linked with the correct place of their mounting and operation, namely, the conveyor:

  • The length of the free straight-line part of the conveyor must be at least 8-10 m;
  • Inclination angle of the conveyor must not be 20°;
  • The conveyor belt must be vulcanized or well glued;
  • The tension of the conveyor belt must be provided by the load mechanism;
  • The conveyor loading should be as uniform as possible, etc.

  • High accuracy (no worse than 0,5%) and operating temperature range (from -20 to + 50 °С);
  • Possibility of using for batch batching of material, for example, when loading it into wagons and technological units;
  • Easy mounting – the scales are mounted in 2-3 work shifts;
  • The scales can be calibrated and checked without re-weighing the material using the supplied (optional) special load simulator (UKVK-201);
  • The modular construction with a small number of units and parts makes it easy to transport and deliver to the mounting location.
