PURPOSE:

Hopper scales SWEDA WBA-320-P-80 are designed for batch weighing and continuous accounting of bulk products, for example, for accounting raw sugar at sugar factories.

 

The peculiarity of the scales is the presence of a loading hopper feeding the weighed product to two hopper scales, the operation of which ensures the continuity of the process of receiving, weighing and unloading the weighed product.

CONSTRUCTION AND PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:

Hopper scales include the following components:

  • a material feed, consisting of a receiving (loading) hopper, to which the necks of two hopper scales of the type with sector gates are attached, providing material loading into their weight hoppers. The gates are driven by pneumatic cylinders;
  • weighing hoppers with sets of load cells and sector gates, providing material unloading, and driven by appropriate pneumatic cylinders;
  • weight processors PW-310 or weight processors PW-310i and junction boxes;
  • pneumatic drive cabinets;
  • general frame for fastening the metal structure of the scales and their control units.

 

The work of the hopper scales consists in performing the following cycles:

  • Material flow into the weighing hopper due to opening and closing of the loading gate;
  • Measuring the mass of the weighing hopper;
  • Unloading of material by opening and closing the unloading gates;
  • Calculation of the mass of a portion of the material that has passed through the scales;
  • Accumulation of the portion value in the weight processor.

 

The frequency of operation of the gates and the repetition period of the cycles of a given production supply of material.

 

By agreement with the Customer, the loading hopper can be equipped with a weight hopper designed to accumulate and maintain a standard mass of material in it using an additional weight processor PW-310 with the software product “weight comparator”. This allows it to automatically keep it loading.

 

The execution of the algorithm and control of all actuators of the hopper scales are provided by the weight processor PW-310 or weight processor PW-310i of each scale. Processes of work and control of the state of all units of the scales, indication of the results of their work, communication with the upper level of the control system and automated control system of the enterprise.
