Calibration devices

Calibration is an important task in the operation of weighing equipment.

In scales designed for static weighing (truck, wagon, platform, hopper, etc.), this procedure can be performed using standard weights.

In scales that measure a moving load, such as belt scales or belt batchers of continuous operation, this task is complicated. Difficulties are caused by the fact that it is not always at the place of operation that there is a technical possibility of taking a portion of the material passed through the scales and weighing it on the control scales.

It is for the purpose of calibrating belt scales and batchers “Sweda, Ltd” manufactures and supplies several types of calibration devices.

PURPOSE

Calibration devices UKVK and UIPN are designed to simulate linear load, calibration and indirect verification of belt scales and belt batchers of continuous operation.

ADVANTAGES

• The process of calibrating belt scales and belt batchers is greatly simplified;
• The calibration device UKVK-201-1 undergoes metrological calibration test with a mark in the passport;
• The calibration device UKVK-201-2 (UIPN) uses standard weights.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The calibration device UKVK-201-1 is made in the form of a set of metal plates and wheels (chain) calibrated by weight, interconnected by a flexible cable. The parameters of the chain (the number and weight of the plates, the total length of the chain, etc.) are determined by the characteristics of the scales (capacity, linear load, length of the weight section, etc.).

During the calibration, the chain is placed on the weight section of the conveyor belt, being fixed to the stave by means of a flexible connection. In this case, the chain lies both on the central and on the side rollers of the conveyor, as much as possible imitating the moving material flow.

The calibration device UIPN (UKVK-201-2) consists of a number of metal pallets with standard weights placed on them. The number of pallets, the mass and the number of weights is determined by the characteristics of the scale or batcher.

Fixation of the position on the belt in flat conveyors and belt batchers is carried out by a hook, which is attached to the conveyor stand.
