SPF “Sweda, Ltd” offers a full range of industrial electronic scales for use in ports:

As you know, a large flow of goods is transported by sea and river transport. Therefore, the task of weighing and accounting for these cargo flows, including bulk products (grain, ore, coal, etc.), is urgent.

A variant of the scheme of such cargo flows and means of their control is shown in the drawing.

For example, when loading bulk products on a ship or unloading it, are used hopper scales 1. At the same time, manufacturers of scales ensure their productivity from 250 t/h to 2000 t/h and weighing and accounting accuracy up to ±0.1%.

Sometimes in ports there is a problem of packing bulk products after their unloading from the ship into bags of various types (open-mouth, valve, “big-bags”). This task can be solved by special filling complexes 2 of both stationary and mobile types. The complex usually includes, as a rule, special automatic batchers, sewing or transporting lines.

For accounting of cargo flows, wagon 3 and truck 4 scales are widely used wagon 3 and 4 truck scales . The carrying capacity of such scales can reach 80-100 tons and 150-200 tons, respectively, and the accuracy is ±0.1%. Such scales can take into accounting the mass of both bulk products and unit loads (for example, containers) transported by vehicles.

In ports, it is possible to use рrane 5 и belt 6 scales. Crane scales allow with high accuracy (up to ±0.1%) to control the weight of piece cargo, and belt scales with an accuracy of ±0.5% – continuously in the flow and quickly weigh and take into account the mass of bulk products when loading or unloading from a ship. In this case, the crane scales can be mounted both in the crane mechanism and hung on its hook. Belt scales mount directly on the conveyor load bearing structure.

As usual, all modern electronic scales described above and used in ports have external indication on large displays, communication with computers located at different points of the port can be connected to the dispatch center and the port’s cargo traffic accounting system.

Scientific and production firm “Sweda” has more than 25 years of experience in the production of weighing and batching equipment, including for ports. We offer the Customer a wide range of appropriate scales and batchers, services for their mounting and commissioning, the creation of freight traffic accounting systems based on these scales, and we invite you to cooperation.
